As part of the project’s overall expression, lighting was never intended to become decorative ornamentation applied to the building façade. Instead, it gently radiates outward from within the interior. We wanted the architecture at night to remain restrained, light, and transparent, allowing its flowing volumes to maintain a quiet presence within the urban context. This approach is closer to the idea of the building “glowing from within” — creating a recognizable nighttime identity without appearing overly assertive.
The interior lobby is defined by a language of pure white surfaces, curves, and continuous spatial flow. Lighting here is not simply about providing illumination, but about creating purity and calm through diffuse reflection and soft transitions. We hoped that from the very first moment of entering, visitors would experience a sense of quietness, openness, and immersion in light — almost like stepping into an art installation.
Concealed lighting gradually reveals the curves of the ceiling and walls, creating a sense of light that seems to grow inward from the architecture itself. Strong contrasts between brightness and shadow were intentionally avoided, allowing light to wrap the space like air and naturally slow the pace of those entering. This treatment also softens the complexity of the forms, reducing any sense of heaviness or pressure from the structure itself.
The reception and lounge areas needed to balance ceremony with comfort. Lighting extends along the curved architectural forms, reinforcing the direction and flow of the space, while warm color temperatures soften the coolness of the white interior palette. Within the white environment, the introduction of warm light gives the materials a more tactile and welcoming presence.
Lighting in the lounge area emphasizes a sense of enclosure and comfort. Through low-glare, softly indirect illumination, the seating area maintains both a quiet intimacy and the overall openness and brightness of the space. The purpose of light here is not to create drama, but to encourage people to stay, converse, and relax.
The bar area continues the project’s overarching language of curves. Lighting is concealed within shelves and ceiling forms, allowing display, function, and atmosphere to merge seamlessly into a light and refined visual focal point. We envisioned the bar not only as a functional space, but also as a warm and elegant pause within the overall interior journey.
