The building was designed by the renowned Japanese design institute, Sako. Its large, rectangular structure is designed to accommodate the functional requirements of an office building, featuring irregular geometric openings for light and ventilation. This design results in a sparkling, crystal-like new urban architecture, instead of a traditional appearance.
The lighting design adheres to this concept, utilizing various lights with cool color temperatures to achieve a crystal-clear appearance. The biggest challenge was to manage the reflection rate of the glass. The goal was to strike a balance between reflecting the light and ensuring a suitable light transmittance without impacting indoor daylight lighting.
After consulting with the architects and curtain wall engineers, the team selected three light combinations for the building's illumination, to ensure the appropriate balance of light and reflectivity on the glass.
